Sustainable Marketing

LyteYear is run by people who love the environment. In our daily lives, we practice sustainability as much as possible. However, we are painfully aware that eCommerce marketing and the mass consumerism it inherently promotes are largely responsible for the devastation of our natural world and all creatures in it. Because of this, our goal is to do as much good as we can with the money we make, and to run our business in a way that is as minimally harmful as possible.

LyteYear is a Proud Member of 1% for the Planet

We Donate a Minimum of 1% of Revenue to Environmental Initiatives

  • Each year we donate a minimum of 1% of our revenue to environmental initiatives.
  • We've planted over 2,000 trees in Colorado to help reforest after the devastating 2020 wildfires.
  • We've donated enough to an old growth forest (defined as 500 years or older) in Vermont to offset the equivalent of 5 persons' CO2 emissions for one year.
  • We've planted 1,300 trees in the Amazon rainforest.

We Strive to Work with Environmentally-Friendly Companies and Non-Profits

  • As we continue to grow, our goal is to eventually work exclusively, or nearly exclusively, with companies whose values, practices, and goals are aligned with our beliefs.
  • We work with our current clients to build marketing initiatives and business practices that are more sustainable and environmentally-conscious.

We Run LyteYear in an Eco-Conscious Way

  • Our team is entirely remote, thus eliminating CO2 emissions from an office and daily work commuting.
  • We minimize or eliminate unnecessary travel, and instead opt for video conferences.
  • LyteYear's headquarters is powered entirely by solar.
